Sponsored by Senator Roach, SB 5163 states that any child protective services worker who is involved in investigating reports of alleged child abuse or neglect, assessing risk of abuse or neglect to children, or providing or referring individuals to services, including law enforcement, to remedy conditions that endanger the health, safety, and welfare of children, must be licensed in a social work classification and bonded.
